Two Cambridge men facing drugs and weapons charges

Waterloo Regional Police arrested two males for numerous weapons and drug related charges.

On March 11, 2024, members of the Neighborhood Policing South Division located two males in possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property in the area of Concession Street and Christopher Drive in Cambridge.

During the investigation, police seized a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl. Police also seized a variety of weapons including a hatchet, a machete, an expandable baton, and multiple knives.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle and stolen equipment, valued at over $10,000 which was returned to the rightful owner.

As a result, A 32-year-old Cambridge male was charged with multiple offences, including theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

A 42-year-old Cambridge male was charged with a total of 15 offences including:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Possession of weapon contrary to order
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

Both suspects were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
