SEPTEMBER 27, 1929 – JANUARY 27, 2022
Passed away peacefully and surrounded with love at Lisaard House on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in her 93rd year. Survived by daugher Lauralee (Paul) Cressman and son Robert (Charlene). loving grandmother to Jessica, Sarah and Leah Deans. Much loved sister to Ruby von Farra. Sister-in-law to Patricia Hofstetter, Donna Hofstetter, and Bert Currie. Laura is survived by many nieces and nephews and also remembered by the Purkis, Hofstetter and Otto families. Predeceased by her husband Robert (October 28, 2011), infant daughter Roberta (September 5, 1968), her parents Valentine and Annie (Hesse) Hofstetter, her infant brothers Lloyd, Lorne, Morris and Kenneth, as well as brothers Clarence (Rose), Bryan and Robert, and her sisters Hazel (Ralph) Otto, Mabel (Art) Storer, Kathleen Currie, brother-in-law George Dahms, Waldemar von Farra, sister-in-law Helen (LaVerne) Otto, nieces Valerie, Linda, Wendy and nephews Adam and Bruce.
A private family funeral service will be held at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290), spring interment will be at Cedar Creek Cemetery, North Dumfries. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Central Presbyterian Church Restoration Fund or Lisaard House are greatly appreciated by the family.
