NOVEMBER 27, 1931 – SEPTEMBER 10, 2021
With great sadness, her family announces that Marianne passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor, on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by husbands Herbert Kriszio (1959) and Earl Goodfellow (1981), parents Peter and Maria Kessebrock, and brothers Manfred (Gertrude), and Peter Kessebrock.
Loving Mom to Susan Voisin (Alan), Brenda Dowd (Bill), and Andrea Lalonde (François). Proud Oma to granddaughters Lindsey Voisin (Scott Robertson), Lisa Voisin, Jessica Schoch (Andrew), grandsons Jason Rainville (Candice), Ryan Rainville (Susana), Brendan Dowd, and Griffin Dowd and Uroma to Elise and Claire Rainville, Miles Robertson, and Baby Boy Schoch.
Marianne was born in Dortmund, Germany but raised in Castrop-Rauxel,and immigrated to Canada in 1953. She lived in a few cities in Ontario and Quebéc before moving to her beloved North Bay, where she lived for more than 40 years. She enjoyed her profession as a hair stylist and throughout her entire life was always stylishly, if comfortably attired. She loved many things including gardening, being outdoors, listening to music, crocheting, following politics, had many interesting hobbies, and always liked trying new things. But no matter what she did, the most important thing in her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
The family wish to thank the staff and volunteers of Hilltop Manor, especially the Preston Wing, for their compassionate care.
In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, which will be followed by cremation. Those not attending the service in person will be able to view it on the link below.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre would be appreciated by the family.
