It is with great sorrow that the Harding family announces the passing of James (Jim) Lloyd Harding on April 26, 2021.
Jim was born on December 15, 1960, in Cambridge, Ontario to Lloyd and Aura Harding. Jim loved school and began sharing his enthusiasm holding many leadership roles at GCI. After that he attended Western University where he obtained his Economics and Teaching degrees as well as the University of Toronto Dental School and the University of Waterloo. Jim was a Chartered Professional Accountant working as a senior executive for Rockwell Automation for over 30 years where he retired in 2018. Recently, he enjoyed providing consulting services to Greentech in Cambridge.

An enthusiastic cyclist and golfer, Jim took every opportunity to head out on the course or the open road. Jim continues to hold the family record of 3 lifetime hole-in-ones. Jim often adventured with his beloved children, Stephanie, Matthew, and Katie. Whether it be a ride on a rail-trail, a road trip to the East Coast, or biting off a cottage project that seemed too big to chew – Jim was always up for a challenge.

Jim’s biggest joy in life was his family. From coaching Matthew or Katie’s hockey teams to attending Stephanie’s swim meets and horse competitions, Jim was always proud to be there for his children. He never stopped planning adventures up at the cottage where the family could come together.

In addition to Stephanie (Ryan), Matthew (Kirsten) and Katie, Jim is survived by his mother, Aura Harding, sisters Karen Maidment (Dave), Pamela Kozak (Rick) and his five nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd Harding.

A private funeral service will be held at Coutts Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.
