DECEMBER 31, 1941 – FEBRUARY 5, 2022
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on February 5, 2022 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
She was a kind, selfless woman and a caring mother to Michelle, Michael (Marg), Sandra (Bob), Richard (Tammy) and Shawn (Margie). Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren Christopher, Shawn, Jamie, Michael, Adam, Jamie, Andrew, Melissa, Kayla, Madison, Alicia, Emily, Corrina, Carli, Bradley, Cassidy and Ciera. Her 13 great-grandchildren will lovingly remember their “Super Nanny” and she will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as her two younger brothers, Frazer (Shirley) and Harold.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Fergus Hawco, her mother Jean Miller (Nee Penney), her father Harold Miller as well as sher sister, Sandra Heath (nee Miller), her brother Kenneth Miller and her sister-in-law Joyce.
There will be a church service held on Bell Island at a later date. Jean will return to Cambridge where she will then be laid to rest with her husband.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favourite charity in Jean Hawco’s name.
