Born in Cambridge, Ontario on January 11, 1928, Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on January 29th, 2022, In her 95th year.
Predeceased by her husband George Thomas (Blackie), Brothers Bill Merrall, Art Williams, Mother of Sandra Poll (Earl), Carol, Deborah of Cambridge and Michael (Lori) of Summerside PEI.
Grandmother to Valerie Magwood (Dan), Wendy Poll, Jeffery Hilborn (Julie), Kristen Taylor (Shane) (PEI), Ciera Hilborn (PEI) and Vanessa Martin, great grandmother of 5 and great great grandmother of 1.
Helen will be greatly missed by her companion of many years William Whibley and his daughter Caroline Cornish and extended family.
Helen enjoyed many years before and after raising her family sitting by the campfire reminiscing and entertaining family and friends at her trailer at Crestwood Lake. Helen served as a volunteer for many years with the Royal Canadian Legion branch #121, to which she did with great pride. For Many years Helen could be seen or heard enjoying her past times of bingo, darts or cards with her friends or sitting around the kitchen table on a Sunday with her family having a meal and playing games.
Special thanks to the Nurses and Staff at CMHC and especially at Lisaard House where the care she received went above and beyond in her last days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. As per Helens wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no service at this time. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lisaard House or the Cambridge Humane Society.
