NOVEMBER 5, 1948 – APRIL 19, 2022

With her family by her side, Bridget Anestine Ivey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the age of 73.

Bridget was a devoted mother, and loved to be surrounded by her kids and grandchildren. She was beloved by Clifton, her life partner of 53 years. Committed to the church, Bridget also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her beautiful backyard garden. She was known to love cooking and entertaining family on all the big occasions: Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving.

These special occasions were not complete unless they had the big presence of as many family and friends as possible with whom to share. She continued the nurturing tradition of ‘Family First’ instilled by her parents Pearline and Mortimer. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Bridget took pride in carrying on the traditions of her parents, which manifested in her warm presence and the love she spread. Bridget will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Clifton, children Kevin (Monica), Shawn (Estefania), Charlene (Mike), and Sydjea, grandchildren Ann, Kevin Jr., Chris, Keviann, Krisann, Tyler, Sabrina, Jasmine, Melanie, Roberto, Samantha, Micah, and Nickahly, great-grandchildren Kayden and Raelyn, and her siblings Linda Burnett (Lawrence), Leroy Gardner (Marita), Errol Gardner (Patricia), Velma Mitchell (Rudyard), Burnet Gardner, Angela Gardner-Paterson, Carol Reid (Byron), and Junior Gardner. Bridget was predeceased by her son Neil, parents Pearline and Mortimer Gardner, and her sister Barbara Hanson.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at T. Little Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home’s chapel at 11:00 am, and will be live-streamed for those unable to join us in person. Burial will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
