Ernestine Kastner passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in her 93rd year.
Erna was a loving and proud Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She had a variety of interests, but especially loved to travel the world and volunteer for worthy organizations. Erna was also a proud resident of Preston since 1954, when she immigrated to Canada with her family of 3 from her native Austria. Erna will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Henry Kastner (Mary Lou) and Christine Sonser (John), grandchildren Erika Kastner, Alex Kastner (Stacie Mestre), Caroline Dunham (Nick), and Jennifer Sonser (Kevin Bartok), and her great-grandchildren Addison, Kennedy, Isla, and Liam. Erna was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry Kastner and her grandson Jason Sonser. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
