MARCH 26, 1933 – DECEMBER 29, 2022

Ron (Rondell Laverne) Klinck of Cambridge ON, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 89 on Thursday, December 29, 2022 after succumbing to injuries suffered from a fall.

Loving husband of 65 years to Beatrice “Bea”. Father of Kim (Butler) of Cambridge, Shelley (Andrews) of California, Jeff Klinck (Jacqueline Calvert) of Kitchener, and Steven Klinck (Jaime Brown) of Milton. Grandfather to Hope van Loenen of Dundas.

Ron was a graduate of London Teachers College and Wilfred Laurier University. He was a dedicated and much respected music educator in both elementary and secondary schools for many years in Sarnia, Guelph and Cambridge. For more than 60 years he served as a church organist and choir director, playing for services, weddings and funerals throughout the area.

A man of much creativity and drive, he initiated many new musical programs in schools and the community. The Hymn Cafe and Bell Ringers were two of his inspirations. This brought him purpose, motivation and joy and continued until a few days before his death. Gardening and travel were also passions he shared with his wife.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and the good Samaritans that assisted at the time of his injuries. A celebration of life will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, ON, on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Donations in Ron’s memory can be sent to the Cambridge Shelter or any charity of choice.
