Passed away unexpectedly March 20, 2023 at his residence in Toronto.

He is predeceased by his mother, Diana Kerstenbeck (Torpel) and father Peter Liima. He is deeply missed by step-mother, Linda Liima and stepfather Mark Kerstenbeck, children Kimberly, Matthew, Brandon and Emily Liima, siblings Chris (Wanda), Kersti (Brandon), Katrina (Colin), grand daughter Aurora, his many nieces, nephews,aunts Delia, Karin and cousin Michelle.

Erik lived his early life in Toronto with his mom, dad, and brother. There he joined young peoples theatre and had a leading role as baby Jesus in the show Mr. Dress Up.

Later, when he moved to Milton with his mom and step father, Erik enjoyed the outdoors and joined the Milton soccer team. Erik was an avid soccer player who scored many goals, and received many awards during his time on the team. While in high school Erik met Angie Jacobs. The two were Married shortly after, and had four children. Erik carried with him, his enthusiasm for the outdoors and soccer when he chose a home on farmland in Fergus and become the coach of his sons soccer team. There Erik was able to explore the outdoors and take long walks with his children and beloved dog Jasmine.

Wanting to make a better life for his family, Erik worked two jobs and went to Night school to become a Process Engineer. He worked hard in this role until his divorce, when he moved back to Toronto to become a foreman with a residential construction company.

Throughout his life, Erik was a proud Estonian, a fierce family man and a passionate sports enthusiast especially for his favourites the Toronto maple Leafs and the Brazilian soccer team. He enjoyed all family gatherings, and his closeness to family only grew with the passing of his parents. Erik was a kind and lighthearted spirit, who would never hesitate to help anyone in need. his memory and corny jokes will live with us forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Service for Erik will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, ON N1S 1M8 (519-621-1650).
