JULY 20, 1932 – FEBRUARY 9, 2023
After a brief illness, passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 9th at Freeport Hospital at the age of 90 years.
Beloved mother of Stella (Rod), Gloria (Kim), Cynthia (Wayne) and Shelley (Daniel). Loving “nan/nanny” to 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She will forever remain in the hearts of her siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her loving husband Fred of 46 years, daughter Brenda, her parents Lional and Susan Clarke and 6 of her siblings.
Georgina was the matriarch of her family and was a second mother to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was very patient, kind, never raised her voice and was willing to do anything for anyone who needed it. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, many crafts like sewing, knitting, cooking and baking amazing bread. Her grace and beauty will never be forgotten. She was always on the go doing something, her heart was pure gold, her smile melted hearts and her laughter lit up every room. Heaven has gained an amazing angel and her star will forever shine bright.
Family and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge on Monday, February 13 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge on Tuesday, February 14 at 1 p.m. with a reception to immediately follow. Interment will follow at a later date.
