Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) - Mississauga Detachment - Cambridge office, are investigating a single vehicle rollover collision that resulted in one fatality.
On Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at 11:14 a.m., the OPP were called to a collision on Highway 7/8 eastbound, east of Trussler Road, in Kitchener, Ont. The vehicle entered the centre ditch and rolled over, the driver of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest on the eastbound lanes of Highway 7/8.
The adult male driver, who remains unidentified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The OPP-HSD Traffic Support Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
