City dump truck collides with minivan sending four people to hospital with minor injuries

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a collision at Can-Amera Parkway and Franklin Boulevard involving a minivan and a City of Cambridge vehicle. 

At approximately 9:57 a.m., emergency services responded to a motor vehicle collision at the busy intersection that shutting down traffic in the southbound lanes. 

According to police, a large dump truck was travelling North on Franklin Boulevard and while attempting a left turn onto Can-Amera it collided with a Dodge minivan which was travelling south-bound on Franklin. 

The driver of the Dodge, a 25-year-old female, and three passengers, including children, were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the city owned dump truck, a 23-year-old male, was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and police are looking for any video footage of the incident.
