Police recover four stolen vehicles, arrest two men in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing South Division has arrested two suspects and recovered four stolen vehicles in Cambridge.

Police say on Oct. 10 shortly after 6 p.m., officers responded to the area of Dundas Street North after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers arrived and arrested two males who police allege were in the process of loading a stolen vehicle into a shipping container.

Four stolen vehicles worth approximately $320,000 were recovered as part of the investigation, police said in a news release.

A 24-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, both from Quebec, were charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000 (four counts)
  • Trafficking stolen property over $5,000 (four counts)

Both were held for a bail hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
