MARCH 30, 1937 – MARCH 1, 2023
Daniel Joseph Detzler, age 85, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Loving husband of 53 years to Elizabeth, Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his children Sharon Detzler, Allan (Nikki) and Cathy Detzler. Daniel leaves precious memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter Stephanie (2019).
He was part of the Steel Workers Union and worked at Eastern Steel, becoming Frink of Canada and later Caterpillar then Champion. Daniel was a loyal member of Temple Baptist Church and worked and volunteered at the church diligently in his retirement. He was a lifelong tinkerer with cars and a true do-it-yourselfer. Daniel loved racing and talking about it, those who remember him will attest to this. Private cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington are greatly appreciated by the family.
