OCTOBER 31, 1934 – MARCH 1, 2023
Dimitr “Dimi/Jim” Jordanov passed peacefully in his 89th year on March 1, 2023.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Anna, survived by his long time cherished companion Lida Bause, dad to Lenka (Brad Seeman) and Blanka Jordanov.
Dimi emigrated from the Czech Republic with his family in 1969. In the Czech Republic, he was a national Greco-Roman wrestling champion and maintained a lifelong passion for the sport. In Canada, he spent the majority of his adult life in St. Thomas, Ontario and the last 20 years in the Waterloo/Cambridge area. Dimi had many interests including chess, wine making, vegetable gardening and was a devoted hockey fan.
Dimi and family would like to thank the staff of Riverbend Place, Cambridge – especially Teresa, for their good care and compassion.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Research, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dimi’s memory in lieu of flowers are appreciated.
