With great sadness, her family announces that Margaret passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in her 74th year.
Beloved mother of Angela Hunter (Jim Riley), James Hunter (Bonnie), Tracy King (Bill), and Bethany Fleming (Andy Freiter). Doting Grandma to Amber Hunter, Joshua Richardson, Terry Hunter, Skylar King, Jordan King, Jaxon Freiter, Mackenzie Freiter, Owen Hunter, and Avery Hunter and “GG” to Kaylee, Kamrin, Konner, Kayden, Ray, and the little one still on their way. Marg will also be lovingly remembered by many family and friends, especially Cathy Thomson.
She was born in Bonavista, Newfoundland and moved with her family to Preston, Ontario while she was a young teenager. She will be remembered for many things, but the most important thing in her life was her family; she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for Visitation at the Barthel Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 8th from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy to celebrate her life will be said in the Barthel Chapel at 3:00 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cambridge and District Humane Society would be appreciated by her family.
