Gil Silveira Dos Santos, 26 October, 1948 - 13 April, 2022. Gil passed away suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital due to complications from Surgery.
Loving and devoted husband of Barbara (nee Chaulk) of 53 years. Cherished father of Nancy (Vasco Bairos) and Benita (Dave Rocha) . Adored Poppy to Jordan, Brandon, Noah, Sydney, and Alex . Step-Poppy to Samantha, Brett and Jared. Great Step-poppy to Owen and "FUR-DADDY" to Tommy Gil will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Edwarda (late Armando Cabral), Nicolau (Cidalia), Verissimo (Angelina), Ana (Alvaro Azevedo), Domingos (Brenda). Predeceased by his father Gil Santos, mother Maria (nee Silveira) and brother Antonio (Azores) Gil had many Nieces and Nephews who will miss him dearly. Family was important to Gil. He loved music and dancing and was always the life of the party, dragging everyone up on the dancefloor. He embraced his wife's Newfoundland culture with open arms and was a Master at The Spoons. He will be sadly missed by anyone who has ever met him.
Visitation will take place at Coutts Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10 am at St. Clement's Parish (745 Duke St. Cambridge) Committal Service at Parklawn Cemetery (750 Fountain St. N.
